Swing by and check out our fresh listening stations!  We’ve got Stanton STR8-150 turntables complete with amplifier for you to listen to our extensive LP collection, new Tascam CD players to enjoy our 11,000 disc CD collection, and a couple of cassette players. Borrow headphones from the desk (we’ll be rolling out noise canceling headphones soon to care for your cochlea!) and work on your listening assignments in a comfy chair with great views. You can even open the windows or pull down the blinds. So come on by and do some listening!

Monday February 25th was opening day for the Bessie Brooks Winspear Media Commons. Welcome back to all wonderful familiar faces, and welcome to our newest borrowers. Help yourself to the music scores and reference books on the main floor next to the Media Commons desk. Ask the helpful staff to get you the CDs, videos, DVDs, and LPs you need. You can also find the music periodicals integrated with the Library’s current periodicals section just around the corner. And the ML and MT books are in their old home on the lower level of the McPherson Library, soon to be relocated to their new home on the 3rd floor. We hope to have our new screening rooms and listening stations ready for you soon, so check back for updates and details. And enjoy the new bright and airy study spaces throughout the floor.
